Can you gain muscle mass by training Calisthenics only?

Absolutely, you can gain muscles by using only calisthenics. However, if you want to see faster results, we strongly encourage you to see gym training as a supplement. Calisthenics should be the core of your workout and the gym should be the extra topping. Both types of training combined can achieve powerful results.

What equipment do I need to start training Calisthenics?

All you need is a pull-up bar to workout Calisthenics. You can buy one for your home or you can go to a park or gym to exercise. If you can’t do a pull-up, you should also buy a rubber band to help you lift your own body weight.

Can you lose muscle when training Calisthenics?

It is no true that you can lose muscle mass when working out with Calisthenics. This is a myth made out of ignorance or misinformation. If you train calisthenics properly, you can increase muscle mass and body definition.

Can girls train Calisthenics?

Absolutely, girls can also do Calisthenics. Calisthenics is a sport that is adaptable to everyone because you can choose the intensity and difficulty according to your fitness objectives.

How long does it take to get in shape using calisthenics?

It really depends on the person but if you train right, you can see results between 1-4 months.

Is calisthenics the same thing as street workout?

Yes, street workout is just another name for Calisthenics. Calisthenics was given the name “Street workout”  since you can workout anywhere you want; outdoor parks, public facilities and even on the streets.

Can you lose weight by using Calisthenics?

Since calisthenics is composed of explosive exercises, you burn more fat and calories than regular weight lifting at the gym. Therefore, Calisthenics is a perfect sport to get a lean body.

Is calisthenics the same thing as Crossfit or Gymnastics?

Calisthenics was an ancient training technique invented by the Greek warriors such as the Spartans. Cross fit, gymnastics and even some yoga exercises actually originated from Calisthenics. Calisthenics is the pure source of these type of workouts. Therefore, they are not quite the same thing. Calisthenics is based more on strength, while CrossFit is more about endurance. Gymnastics is a little bit more similar to Calisthenics but gymnastics is very hard on your joints and tendons. You can only exercise gymnastics for a limited time, but you can do calisthenics all of your life.

Can Calisthenics replace the gym?

Calisthenics can replace gym training but it is not recommended. The best training technique is to combine both and making calisthenics your primary focus.

What are the benefits of Calisthenics?

When you train calisthenics you can achieve incredible strength, muscle mass, body definition, endurance, coordination, flexibility and agility.

Can you get ripped by doing Calisthenics?

Calisthenics is one of the best ways to get very lean and ripped in a short amount of time. You can become the ripest and leanest version of yourself in less than 4 months.
